2x 800KvA Reading
We was tasked with removing these two massive engines and the associated fuel tank and power control unit for a client in Reading. From start to finish we completed this job over 2 weeks. This job involved some 'making good' of the working area, as the client had planned to turn the building into a workshop.
SDMO Southwark London
A slightly more straightforward job. Our team removed this engine in the Southwark area of London, Just a few hundred metres away from the Shard. This was a noise sensitive job so we were restricted to hand and small battery tools only. Everything had to be handballed up 18 flights of stairs. Safely lifted by the on site crane straight onto our pre arranged transport.
Waitrose Biggin Hill
A much smaller engine on this job, but we was still up for the task. The client was renovating the store and had to dispose of the reduntant standby engine. Our team skated the engine out of the plant room, across the building, and out onto the outside area, ready for our hiab to lift it down and take it away.
Saved From The Scrap Yard
Our team managed to save this engine from its sentence to the scrapyard. The client had brought in a large national company to survey the site and remove the old generator. They decided that the engine wasn't worth saving and asked the client to scrap it. We was contacted to provide a second opinion, and on arrival we quickly realised that the engine was in perfect working order. We offered the client a fair price, and we collected it the same week.
